The Tomb of Nefertari in Virtual Reality
Put your helmet on and take a virtual trip to Egypt’s Valley of the Queens!
The burial site of Nefertari (also known as “the Sistine Chapel of Ancient Egypt”) was discovered in 1904 by Ernesto Schiaparelli (director of the Egyptian Museum in Turin), who himself provided the hand-painted model which you can now visit in virtual reality.
The experience was presented at LuBeC 2016 (Lucca, Italy) and Campi S.na Book Festival 2017 (Lecce, Italy) and is part of a larger effort to promote cultural heritage and innovation.
